Willie Mae Young, 88, of Fort Smith entered into rest Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 18, 1913, in Fort Smith. Willie was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the Builders Sunday school class and United Methodist Women. She is survived by a daughter, Pat Hughes of Fort Smith; a son, Gary Young of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, June Krajewski of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Jennifer Weaver and Jeff Worst; two great-grandchildren Elizabeth Ann and Matthew Scott Hartstein; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. today at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial at Barling City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Toon, Billy Ruth Jr., Don and Tommy Ruth, Ralph Parker and Phillip Rickman. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4100 Grand Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72904. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
