Mr.Richard B. Trice, Manager Forrest City Cotton Exchange, was born in Montgomery county, Tennessee, March 11,1860, and is a son of Henry and Fannie L. (Buckley) Trice. He received instruction in the district school until ten years of age, and has since been his own tutor. He then worked on a farm untill eighteen years old, and clerked for eight years. He was married on October 11,1885, to Mrs.S.L.Altman, of Jersey county, Illinois, mother of E.T.Altman, of this city, and located here on September 12,1895. He came to Arkansas in 1891 from Christian county, Kentucky. Until taking his present position as manager of the Cotton Exchange, he manged the business of Trice & Altman. He is a William Jennings Bryan democrat, and is now building a cozy cottage home on Izard street.
