Georgia Byrd Stevenson, 93, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011. She was born on Nov. 12, 1917, in Fort Smith to Franklin and Linnie Martin Byrd.
She was a homemaker and a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Francis L. Stevenson, and a brother, Howard Byrd.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Barling City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Brightwell and her husband Jerry of Batesville and Libby Wilhelm and her husband Larry of Fort Smith; a son, Ronald Stevenson and his wife Andrea of Austin; six grandchildren, Chris Stevenson and his wife Kelly, Stephen Brightwell and his wife Crystal, Rex Brightwell, Bryan Wilhelm and his wife Casey, Greg Wilhelm and his wife Adriana and Sarah Schulte and her husband Brock; 12 great-grandchildren, Haley and Dalton Brightwell, Lindsey, Chelsea and Charles Stevenson, Caroline, Claire, Jack, Karina and Lucas Wilhelm; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by two stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashton and Josh Clark.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Brightwell, Rex Brightwell, Bryan Wilhelm, Greg Wilhelm, Brock Schulte and David Schoen.
