Evelyn Smith, 86 of Mountainburg passed away Monday June 10, 2013 in a local hospital.
She was a homemaker; a member of Mountainburg 1st Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, one son Jimmy who was killed in the Vietnam War.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Ocker Memorial Chapel Van Buren with burial at Barling Cemetery in Barling under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by one daughter Linda Whitehead and her husband Ladon of Alma; Two granddaughters Carmella Fryar and husband, Jeff of North Little Rock, Shawyn Paxton & husband, Wes of Paris; one grandson Kendall Self and wife Melanie of Moore, OK; four sisters Jackie Noland of Paducah, KY, Susie Stovall & Edna Shumway both of Paris, Stella Koerdt of Scranton; five brothers Danny Powell of Henryretta, OK, Leon Greb of Warner, OK, Billy D. Powell of Heber Springs, Raymond & Carl Powell both of Paris; seven great-grandchildren Katherine Self, Jaden Fryar, Jeremiah Self, Alexander Self, Harrison Self, Ali Trusty & husband Andy, Jaclyn Goodson; two great-great grandchildren Jackson Goodson and Claire Trusty.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday June 12, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Kendall Self, Jeff Fryar, Stacy Powell, George Powell, Carl Powell, James Stovall.
