Coreatha Pigee, 77, of Searcy, formerly of Bald Knob, passed from this life Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at White County Medical Center.

She was born May 30, 1936 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Jesse Gamble and Ida Mae Logwood.

In addition to being a mother to eight children and a retired LPN, she was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bald Knob where she served on the Intercessory Prayer Board, Prison Ministry, and Drug Outreach. She was also a member of Eastern Star and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority as well as a guest writer for the Bald Knob Banner.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Uniece Pigee; four brothers and four sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, Steve Pigee and wife Joyce, Danny Pigee and wife Patsy, Manuel Pigee III and wife Raquel, and Tremayn Pigee; three daughters, Ursula Heidelberg and husband James, Sherry Williams and husband Maurice, and Sheila Tillman and husband Gary; four sisters, Pirl Black, Willene Bolden, Letha Tripp, and Barbara Turner; twenty grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at Bald Knob Funeral Home. Home going services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 15, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bald Knob with Pastor Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob.
