Ruth Nichols Wright, 96, died Saturday, August 13, 2011. Born October 11, 1914 in Newport a daughter of the late Charles Ross and Ida Anderson Nichols. She was the widow of William Henry Wright, a homemaker and a member of the Rocky Point Baptist Church.
Survivors: sister, Salinas Miller of Judsonia; nephews, Charles Nichols of Judsonia, Jan Hickman of California, Stephen Wright of Amarillo, Texas and George Carder of Searcy; nieces, Ann Ferren of Judsonia, Mary Morgan Spock of New York, New York, Jeannie Sue Byrd of Jacksonville and Gypsy Herrington of Amarillo, Texas. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Wanda June Wright; son, Henry Lee Wright and a sister, Onvia Hickman.
Services: Wednesday, August 17, 2011, 11 a.m., Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: Prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment: Evergreen Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
