HARDIN, James R. - James R. Hardin died last Thursday afternoon, August 4th at 3:30 o'clock at his home, corner of Sixth and West Maple, at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 18 days. He had been ill for quite a long time. Funeral services were held at the house Saturday morning and were conducted by Rev. R.M. Thompson. Mr. Hardin, who has been a resident of Rogers almost since the platting of the town, was a native of Indiana where he was born December 16, 1855. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mollie Hardin, nee Willingham, and by one sister, Mrs. Mary Tipton, who lives east of Springdale.
