FAYETTEVILLE — Clarence B. Craft, 80, of Fayetteville died March 28, 2002, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 23, 1921, in San Bernardino, Calif., the son of Louis E. and Pearl Collins Craft. He was preceded in death by a son, Ray Craft, and a brother, Louie Craft.

He was retired from construction. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a recipient of the Medal of Honor. He was a member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and Laborers International Union of North America. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Tamae Ban Craft of the home; four sons, George McCleland and his wife, Jermine, Allen McCleland and David McCleland and his wife, Laura, all of Fayetteville, Richard McCleland of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Sally Brucker and her husband, John, of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Cora Downs, and her husband, Derwood, of Bentonville; a sister-in-law, Rosie Craft of Garden Grove, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at University Baptist Church with Dr. H.D. McCarty and Chaplain Maurice Roberts officiating.

Burial with militant honors will be at National Cemetery.

The family will be present for visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled
