F. L. “PETE” MORGAN, JR., a resident of Seligman, Missouri, was born July 6, 1925 in Lawrence, Kansas, a son of Forrest Lee, Sr. and Mary Kathleen (Roper) Morgan. He departed this life Friday, April 6, 2012 in his home in Seligman at the age of 86 years.

Pete is survived by one daughter, Jo Lee Duncan of Edmond, Oklahoma; four stepsons, Mike and Carolyn Sutton of Berryville, Arkansas, Harold Sutton of Oklahoma, John Mountjoy of California, and Jerry and Lynn Mountjoy of California; one stepdaughter Kristy and Johnny Tate of Seligman, Missouri; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On March 8, 1980, Pete was united in marriage with Mary Hoover who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Lee, Sr. and Mary Kathleen Morgan; and one grandson, Michael Lee Duncan.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Eureka Springs Cemetery with Pastor Dayton Brattin officiating. Interment will follow the service under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
