LOWELL — Geneva Lawson Hayes, of Lowell, died Tuesday evening in the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was 82 years of age. Geneva was born May 2, 1919, in Best to Burks Floyd and Bertha V. George Lawson.

Geneva lived most of her life in the Northwest Arkansas area, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers and also attended the Hickory Creek Baptist Church for the past several years. Geneva was a member of the Eager Beaver Campers Club, and she worked for Daisy Manufacturing for 19 years, retiring in 1981. Geneva enjoyed spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond E. Hayes, to whom she was married Nov. 24, 1945; one brother, the Rev. John F. Lawson and wife Marvene of Rogers; four nieces, Sandy Chalmers, Jessie Snider, Vickie Estes, Nicki Keener; two nephews, Bobby and Jerry Lawson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Jimmy Quay Hayes and Johnny Ray Hayes and one sister, Nadine Lawson Skaggs.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Rogers Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Rowell and the Rev. Raymond Martin officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the First Baptist Church in Rogers Building Fund or the Hickory Creek Church Building Fund.

Arrangements are by Callison- Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.
