Mary "Jackie" Fanning, a resident of Berryville, AR, was born March 2, 1924 in Eureka Springs, AR, a daughter of Albert J. and Clovie Marie (Jackson) Tucker. In Eureka Springs, AR, at the age of 86, Jackie departed this life Saturday, July 24, 2010, on her 68th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband, Curtis H. Fanning, who was by her side.
Jackie was an active member of the First United Methodist Church from the age of two years. She was a housewife and worked for 16 years at Gerber Legendary Knives as a Customer Service Representative until she relocated back to Arkansas in 1981.
On July 24, 1942 she was united in marriage with Curtis H. Fanning who survives her of the home. She is also survived by two sons, David Allen Fanning of Lake Havasu, AZ, Dean Owen Fanning of Berryville, AR; one daughter, Clo Ann Jones of Milwaukee, OR; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Norman Lee Tucker.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Eureka Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Stan Adams officiating.
