Dorald "Dick" Finerty, 81, of Springdale went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2004. He was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Coldwater, Kan., the son of Frank and Hazel Megogney Finerty. He and his wife moved to Springdale in 1974 from Alpena. He retired from Tyson Foods in 1985.

He scent a lot of time outdoors doing what he loved, fishing and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always had a kind word for everyone. He was loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Bullock and one brother, Donald Finerty.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Shutte Finerty, to whom he was married on Aug 30, 1950; his daughter, Glenda Richards and husband Dennis of Springdale; sister, Kay Poff and husband Bill of Brackettville, Texas; two granddaughters, Angie Grinder and husband Greg of Springdale, Kimberly Ward and husband David of Springdale; four great-granddaughters, Erica Grinder, Britney Wald, Rebecca Grinder and Brianna Mae Ward, all of Springdale.

Graveside services were Saturday, July 10, at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers with the Rev. Allen Lawson officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were Greg Grinder, David Ward, Cody Curtis and Dennis Richards.

Memorials may be made to the Springdale Youth Center, P.O. Box 42, Springdale, 72765.

Arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Hone in Springdale.
