A. L. Haltom, aged 74, a retired farmer of Rt. 2, Camden, Fellowship community, died in a local hospital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday following a lingering Illness. He was born in Columbia County, Arkansas May 6, 1882 son of William and Sarah Leech Haltom, and came to Camden when seven years old, where he has lived since that time. Mr. and Mrs. Haltom celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary February 14, 1956. Mr. Haltom was a member of the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he had been a member for more than fifty years. Survivors are the wife Mrs. Stella Haltom; two sons, Wyatt Haltom and J. D. Haltom, both of Camden; one sister, Mrs. Florence Smith, Louann; one brother Leech Haltom, Lewisville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Mrs. Ada Florence Divine, Donald Charles Haltom, both of Camden; one great grand child, Richard Neil Divine, Camden. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church by Rev. Dale Gentry, Pine Bluff; and Rev. Eddie Garrett, pastor. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery for Forbis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be nephews: Frank Rogers, Otha Rogers, Sam Smith, Arvin Smith, Grady Haltom and Junior Haltom. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian church. The body will be taken to the family home this afternoon, where it will remain until service time.
