Stephen Franklin “Butch” Crouch, 69, of Hope, Arkansas died Tuesday, January 19 in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar E. and Frances Crouch of Lexa, Arkansas and one brother, James Smith of Columbus, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, and his children: Stephanie (Jimmy) Rainey, Alyson Crouch, Jim Crouch, Debby (Mike) Pollack, Belinda Padro, Rachel Padro and Esther Padro and eight grandchildren. Also, by his siblings: Patricia Parish, Jacksonville, Tennessee; Marilyn Frensley, Batesville, Arkansas; David (Blanche) Crouch, Searcy, Arkansas; Gene (Sue) Crouch, Cabot, Arkansas; Jackie (Jon) Hassel, Fayetteville, Arkansas and a number of other relatives.
Butch graduated Barton High School and was a Hendrix College Alumni of 1961. He received a National Junior Auxiliary Scholarship to complete two Master’s degrees at Arkansas State Teacher’s College (UCA). He was retired from the Southwest Arkansas Counseling and Mental Health Center in Hope, Arkansas and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hope.
Visitation begins at 1:00 and services begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23 at the Lexa Methodist Church in Lexa, Arkansas.
