Walter was born on February 11, 1922 and passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
Walter was a resident of Fort Smith, Arkansas at the time of his passing.
Walter honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy from February 1942 to January 1948 serving on the USS Mississippi, the USS Wisconsin and the USS Yellowstone during World War Two.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irene.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Barling City Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
