Irvin Wilson Richmond, age 70, of Southaven, Mississippi passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Collierville, Tennessee. Mr. Richmond was born July 8, 1943 to the late William Grady Richmond, Sr. and the late Lois McCoy Richmond. He was a member of Getwell Road United Methodist Church of Southaven, Mississippi. Mr. Richmond worked for 21 years for the Nesbitt and Belmont Water Association and he worked for 15 years at Mohawk Tire and Rubber Company.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Worstell Richmond; a son, Irvin W. Richmond, Jr. of Hernando, Mississippi; a daughter, Cynthia Richmond of Southaven; three grandchildren, Robert W. Richmond, Tyler W. Richmond and Christopher A. Norman; three sisters, Luetta Dawson of Lexa, Arkansas, Carrie Burt of West Helena, Arkansas and Lori Patton of Marion, Arkansas; two brothers, Henry Richmond (Sondra) of Helena, Arkansas and Bob Richmond (Jean) of Trenton, Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; a special niece, Meagan Robbins; and special nephews, Joseph Robbins, Michael Robbins and Ryan Robbins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dana Lynn Richmond; and one brother, Grady Richmond.
Services for Irvin Wilson Richmond will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April29, 2014 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Rodger Hooker will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
