Thurman J. Bullard of Onia, died January 1, 2013 at his home, after a courageous battle of colon cancer. Thurman was born June 7, 1935, in Fairview, Arkansas to Clyde and Zelda (Gammill) Bullard.
Thurman attended and graduated from Timbo School in 1954. Thurman was a Baptist. He loved attending church, revivals, and singing. Thurman was a deacon, fire fighter, carpenter, auctioneer, and an avid fisherman. He devoted his life to building, repairing and has sold more auctions than you can count, over his 42 years of auctioneering. He donated many hours volunteering his service to any benefit that needed him. Thurman was a loving son, father, father-in-law, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Needy Bell Rose Bullard; three daughters, Teresa Cheatham and husband Donald of Melbourne, Arkansas, Lisa Coleman and husband Robby Coleman of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Louise Cullen and husband Ron Cullen of Lowell, Arkansas; his mother, Zelda Bullard of Mountain View, Arkansas; two brothers, Truman Bullard and Jimmy Bullard of Mountain View, Arkansas. Grandchildren include Dillon Lawrence, Keegan Sutton and husband Justin Sutton, Laken Lawrence, Blair Coleman, Fallon Stanley and husband David Stanley, Alexis Coleman, and Makenna Cullen; one great grand-daughter, Zoe Stanley.
He is preceded in death by his father Clyde Bullard; one sister Wanda Bullard; and one great grand-daughter, Isabella Stanley.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 6-8PM at the Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Services will take place Friday, January 4, 2013, 10:00AM, at the Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Interment will follow at the Pordue Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas. Brother Junior Barham is officiating.
Pallbearers are Dee Fulks, Boss Morrison, Junior Deatherage, Eldo Fletcher, Hoarse Hudspeth, and Troy Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Carlos Lawrence, Bill Snow, Ronnie Teague, and his Mirror Lake fishing buddies.
