Carolyn June Martinez, 59, of Fort Smith died Thursday, June 21, 2001, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker and a Protestant. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barling City Cemetery under the direction of Putnam Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Lete Myers of Avondale, Ariz., and Chandra Valenti of Grants Pass, Ore.; a son, Ronald Glasby of Fontana, Calif.; her mother, Edna Morgan of Fort Smith; a sister, Linda Godwin of Fort Smith; two brothers, Mike and Wayne Whittamore, both of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Times Record Online
