Edith P. Griffin

Edith P. Griffin, age 88, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Monday January 27, 2014 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Edith was born August 27, 1925 in Oakland, Arkansas to the late Jenks and Mary (Wilbanks) Phillips. A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Griffin was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Gary W. Griffin and his wife, Suzanne, of Flippin; one brother, Johnny Phillips, of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Bobbie Mae Byrd of Pekin, Illinois; three grandchildren: Kimberly, LeAnne, and Gary; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, in 1992;
one brother, Raymond Phillips; and two sisters: Ruth Wahl; and Ethel Williams.

A graveside service will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:00 am at Fairview Cemetery near Flippin, Arkansas with Bro. Steve Martin officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
