Tina Butler, former Des Arc resident, went to be with her Lord on August 28, 2008. Ms. Butler was the mother of Clarice Walls Wray of Maumelle, and Connie Walls Kingrey of Mabelvale. She was born December 8, 1915 and was preceded in death by her mother, father, and older brother. She worked for Soil Conservation Service in Des Arc, Augusta, and later in Little Rock at the Federal Building. She was with the SCS for 35 years. After retiring at the age of 65, she went on to receive an Associates Degree in Sociology at UALR at the age of 69. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Little Rock for over 50 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Clarice and Connie, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She had been in Searcy Health Nursing Home in Searcy for the past six years.
There will be a memorial service at Grace Lutheran Church in Little Rock on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300.
