Claude J. "Jude" James, 56, 1808 S. Old Missouri Road, Springdale, died Jan. 6 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born July 5, 1921, in Springdale, he was the son of Claude Charles and Ora Davis James, a member of Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and a member of a Masonic Lodge in Springdale. He was employed as a livestock hauler.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Priscilla Rich James of the home; one son, Gary Dean James of Amarillo, Tex.; two daughters, Shelia James of Springdale and Marcia James of the home; three brothers, J.B. James of Union, Ore., Lee James of Garden City, Kan., and Harmon "Jack" James of Springdale; one sister, Mrs. Ora Gertrude Borders of Springdale; two half-sisters, Mrs. Eddie Sterling of Hesperia, Calif., and Mrs. Helen Sullivan of Downey, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Joyce Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.
