Russell Tubbs, 84 of Greenbrier passed from this life on Wednesday, February 18, 2014. He was born on August 26, 1929 in Greenbrier to the late Amon and Sally (Herring) Tubbs. Russell worked at the International Shoe Company in Conway, and later for John Walters Chevrolet where he retired from as a mechanic. Russell worked some after retirement in his own shop. He was of the Church of Christ faith, enjoyed fishing, hunting, caring for his cattle, and spending time with his family and friends.

Russell is survived by his wife Mary (McGinty) of 60 years whom he met while working at International Shoe Company, his daughter; Lisa Goodnight (Randy), two grandchildren; R.J. and Jenny Goodnight, one brother; Lynn Tubbs (Marilyn) all of Greenbrier, and many loving friends.

He is also preceded in death by his sister; Olean Holley.

A Funeral Service will be held in his honor on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Brother Glenn Elliot officiating, burial will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy, AR. Lynn Tubbs, Randy Goodnight, R.J. Goodnight, Charles Tapley, Thurl Smith, and Kenny Taylor will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the Funeral Home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. James Thomas, Dr. Mary Shaver, and all the care givers who cared for Russell of the past years.
