Our precious Lord took another angel home on October 7, 2011. Betty Nash, 80, of Greenbrier, passed away at her home. She was born on November 20, 1930, in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas, to the late Clay Jones and Ella (Cook) Jones. Betty is retired from UCA, in Conway. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Friendship Baptist Church, in Republican. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister, she always put everyone’s needs before her own. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Dewayne Nash and Dwight Nash and one brother, W.D. Jones.
Betty is survived by four daughters, Dianne Nash of Republican, Dona Garrett (Jim) of Holland, Reda Green of Greenbrier, and Debbie Nash of Morrilton; two granddaughters, Trina Erbach (Eli) and Trista Fulmer, both of Morrilton; four great granddaughters, Tiffany Nash, Ashley Wiggins, Trisstian Evans and KaeAnn Henley; four great great grandchildren, Donavon and Tanner Laymon, McKinley Byrd, and Jocelyn Hale; one brother, Orlan Jones; three sisters, Zelda Ward, Dorothy Rigdon and Becky Garrison; and a whole host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2011, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, in Greenbrier. Betty’s funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, in Greenbrier, with Bro. Jessie Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Republican Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Ward, Pat Ward, David Ward, Terry (TJ) Jones, Justin Fowler and Eli Erbach.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Waymon Jones, Rodney Jones, Jerry Nash, Danny Garrison and Greg Garrison.
