Mrs. Betty Regina 'Giny' Blankenship, age 55, of Forrest City, died Saturday at the Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City. She had been in poor health for the past two and a half years.
Mrs. Blankenship was born October 8, 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was the daughter of Royce Hamblin and Dorothy Dillard Hamblin Hoover. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was an R.N.
for the Forrest City Medical Center, was a past employee of Baptist Hospice, and was a Beautician. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City.
Mrs. Blankenship married Donald Blankenship in 1981, and he survives her along with one son, Donald Baker Blankenship of Forrest City, three daughters; Laura Beth Lucas of Wynne, Kelly Lewis and Taelor Blankenship, both of Forrest City, her mother, Dorothy Hoover of Forrest City, two brothers; Royce Hamblin Jr. of Linden, Virginia, and Oather Hamblin of Alma, Arkansas, three sisters; Belinda Privetts of Romance, Arkansas, Amie Hamblin and Marlo Webb, both of Oak Grove, Arkansas, and four grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Blankenship will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
