Funeral services for Alfred Conway Dougherty, 86, who died Friday night at Forrest Memorial Hospital, will be held Sunday in Stevens Funeral Home. Dr. J. Herndon McCain will conduct the services, with burial in Forrest Park cemetery. Mr.Dougherty was born in Madison, Nov.5,1881, the son of Mrs. Sisley Fleener Dougherty and Frank Marion Dougherty. He spent most of his life at Helena before moving here in 1952. He was a Methodist, and a retired merchant. He had been a patient at Forrest Hall for three years. His wife, Mrs. Harriett Louise Harris Dougherty, whom he married 51 years ago, died in 1924. Mr. Dougherty is survived by a son, Conway Dougherty of Forrest City; a daughter, Mrs. Frank M. Norton of Dallas; and four grandchildren.
