Virginia J. Crookston, 76, of Maumelle went to be with her Lord, Sunday, April 27, 2008. She was born at Oxford, Mississippi on February 21, 1932, a daughter of William A, and Nola Hodge Temple. She retired after 33 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maumelle, the Society of FBI Alumni, and the Maumelle Chapter of the AARP.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cathy Crookston; a brother, William Temple, Jr. and a sister, Sarah Green.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James E. Crookston; a son, James Crookston, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Lexington, Kentucky; and two granddaughters, Hilary and Hunter Crookston of Lexington, Kentucky.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle followed by a 3:00 p.m., memorial service at First United Methodist Church of Maumelle with Reverend Luke Conway officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300.
