BENTONVILLE — Lourrene "Mickey" Elaine Mickel Briggs, 86, of Bentonville passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.
She was born in Dighton, Kan.. on Dec. 25, 1925, to Robert Roy and Bessie Elaine Jewett Michel.
Lourrene married Homer Briggs on March 15, 1948, in Fayetteville, Ark. Lourrene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Baird and spouse, Kenneth, of Bella Vista, Ark., Diana Bell of Fayetteville, Carolyn Barron and husband, Danny, of Bentonville, Ark.; four sons Jerry and wife, Carol, of Holt, Fla., Robert Briggs and wife, Joan, of Centerton, Ark., Lee Briggs and wife, Tish, of Tontitown, Ark., and David Briggs of Bella Vista, Ark.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Ronald Mickel and wife, Helen, of Little Rock, Ark.
Lourrene was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, who will be missed by all.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oakley Chapel Cemetery in Rogers.
