VAN SLYKE, Wesley J. - Wesley J. Van Slyke, 64, died Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.C. Gibson, 421 West Maple street, after a long illness. Mr. Van Slyke suffered a stroke of paralysis about five years ago. Funeral services will be held from the Central Methodist church Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J.A. Womack officiating. Arrangements are in charge of A.D. Callison. Mr. Van Slyke, who came to Rogers in 1928, is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. G.C. Chess of Urbanett, Ark.; Mrs. C.C. Gibson and Mrs. Clyde Ragsdale of Rogers; and one son, C.M. Van Slyke of Iola, Kan.
