Mrs. Plicida 'Pat' Poindexter, age 85, of Forrest City, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro. Mrs. Poindexter was born Sept. 12, 1919, in Newport, the daughter of Arnon Tubbs and Millie Roach Tubbs. She lived in St. Francis County for most all of her life, was retired from Reltoc Manufacturing and was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church. Mrs. Poindexter married Joseph 'Joe' Poindexter in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by three sons, Cleatis Poindexter of Higden, Tommy Poindexter and John Poindexter both of Forrest City; two daughters, Barbara King of Stout, Ohio and Mrs. Robbie Harbin of Forrest City; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Poindexter were held on Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at Forrest Park Cemetery at 1 p.m. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
