Rev. James B. Busby, of Forrest City died Thursday, March 26, 1992 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis following a brief unexpected illness. He was 76. Rev. Busby was born August 12, 1915 in Marks, Miss. the son of Marcus Clifton Busby and Willie Etta Gracey Busby. He had lived in Forrest City since 1975. The pastor of the First Baptist Church of Haynes, Rev. Busby was a former elementary school teacher and aveteran of World War II. He was also a former pastor of the Colt Baptist Church and served as president of Forrest City Education Associationin 1982. He leaves his wife, Ruby Oleta Brown Busby of the home; two sons, Dr. James David Busby of Alma and William Mark Busby of Memphis;two daughters, Janie Weatherwax of Grenada, Mississippi and Deborah Oleta Busby of Forrest City; two brothers, Raymond Busby of Madison and Oscar Busby of Forrest City; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Hollinger, Mrs. Glennie Murphree and Mrs, Laura Newman, all of West Helena and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 29, at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Forrest City with the Rev. Phil Weatherwax, son in law of the deceased officiating. The Revs. J. D. Webb, Michael Brown and Mike Crouch assisted. Burial was in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Hom
