Douglas Dewitt Pipkins of 624 E. South Avenue, Forrest City, Arkansas, died Saturday September 21, 1985, at Baptist Hospital in Forrest City.
Funeral services were held September 23 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home with Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis, Arkansas in charge. Burial followed in Forrest Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joel Meredith and Rev. Emmitt Pipkins, Jr., nephew of Douglas, officiating.
Born March 7, 1913 in Mississippi, Mr. Pipkins was the son of the late James and Julia Pipkins. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Forrest City.
Survivors include his wife; Nina "Sally" Pipkins of Forrest City: two sons, Alford of Mobile, AL, and Don of Little Rock, AR: one sister, Norene Watson of Biscoe, AR. and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ralph Pipkins, Wayne Collins, Bill Cox, Rayburn Cox, Burtis Dye and, Danny Reyer, all nephews: and two special friends, Douglas Poteat and Gordon Kennedy.
Douqlas' wife is formerly of the Ardmore area and is the daughter of the late Althie Reyer and Bessie "King" Reyer.

Nina Mae (Sally) Reyer Pipkins, 92, passed away Tuesday January 22 , 2013, in Little Rock, AR.
She was born in Limestone County Alabama, August 25, 1920, to Athie and Bessie King Reyer.
She was married in 1936 and moved to Forrest City in
1942.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Douglas Dewitt Pipkins, sisters, Hazel Reyer Cox, Mildred Reyer Collins, Neva Reyer Gimeson Flowers, Rebecca Reyer Dye, grandson, Jeff Douglas Pipkins, 2 great grandsons.
She is survived by two sons Alfred Pipkins (Doris), Satsuma, AL,Donald Roy Pipkins (Peggy), Little Rock,
AR, sisters Rachel Reyer Miller, Colt, AR, Sadie Reyer Smith, Wynne, AR, brother Noble Reyer (Carrie), Ralph Reyer (Mary), Forrest City, AR, 6 grand-children, 4 step-grand-children, 11 great-grand-children, 9 step-great-grand-children, 1 great-great grandson Vincent, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Roller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was held in Forrest Park Cemetery, Forrest City, AR.
