Wife of George W Barry Sr
Mrs. Frances B. Barry, age 96, of Forrest City, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City. Mrs. Barry, born June 27, 1904, in Cherry Valley, was the daughter of Frank Bass and Lucy Baber. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. In 1929, Mrs. Barry married George W. Barry Sr., and he preceded her in death in 1985. She was also preceded in death by a son, George Bill Barry Jr. in 1999. She is survived by two sons, David Hale Barry of Forrest City and James Edward Barry of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Mamie Chowning of Alexandria, Va. and Martha Smith of Salem, Ore.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation services for Mrs. Barry will be held Monday, June 18, 2001, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Barry will be Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
