James Bennett, 82 of Caldwell passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mr. Bennett, an honored World War II Veteran, lived out his entire life as a farmer in St. Francis, Lee and Phillips Counties of Arkansas. Having served on numerous boards and committees, Mr. Bennett and his leadership will be missed by the community he loved.His wife Loretta and four children - Bill Bennett of Benton, AR, Jim Bennett of Germantown, TN, Jerry Bennett of McRae, AR, and Judy Hull of Islamorada, FL, survive him. He also leaves behind one brother Bing Bennett of Bismarck, AR, and two sisters Laverne Vaughn of Mayflower, AR and Loese Lane of Melbourne Beach, Fl.Mr. Bennett was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.Visitation will be held Thursday, June 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, Forrest City, AR. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stevens Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forrest Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Loretta Nash Bennett age 85, of Wheatley, Arkansas formerly of Caldwell died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in Little Rock.
Mrs. Bennett was born September 10, 1925 in Wheatley. She was the daughter of William Nash and Geneva Fisher Nash. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wheatley and an active participant in the Wheatley Senior Center. She will be lovingly remembered as a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend by hundreds of hearts that were touched by her loving kindness.
Mrs. Bennett married James Bennett her husband of 60 years in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 2005. She leaves behind three children, Jim Bennett of Conway, Jerry Bennett of McRae, and Judy Hull of Islamorada, Florida, one sister Betty Mason of Wheatley, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by infant daughter Blenda Stroud and a son Bill Bennett of Benton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Thursday at the funeral home.
