Mr. John Daniel Sanders, age 81, of Hughes, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, in Forrest City. Mr. Sanders was born Aug. 24, 1922, the son of Margie Misskelly. He had made his home in Hughes for most of his life and was a brick mason. He was a Baptist. Mr. Sanders married Carolee Mason in 1951, and she survives him along with a daughter Brenda Plunk of Memphis; two sons David Sanders of West Memphis and Terry Sanders of Hughes; a step-son, Paul Mason of Horseshoe Lake; a brother, E.E. Sanders of Horseshoe Lake; a sister, Evelyn Jones of Memphis; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James Michael Sanders in 1997.Visitation for Mr. Sanders will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held graveside at 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at Forrest Park Cemetery.
