Carolyn Anne Cloyes, 58, of Bald Knob, went to her temporary rest, Tuesday, August 23, 2011. She was born November 19, 1952 in Searcy, Arkansas to Jean Doherty Cloyes and the late Billy Ray Cloyes. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Searcy. Carolyn was a Middle School teacher in the Bald Knob School District and retired after 14 years of service. She was a 1970 graduate of Bald Knob High School and went on to receive her Bachelors Degree from Arkansas State University and her Masters from Harding University. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Ray Cloyes. She is survived by her son, Brian James and wife Tina; daughter, Erica Ruble and husband Lyndon; mother, Jean Cloyes; sister, Linda Northcutt, brother, Gary Cloyes; and her two precious grandchildren, Zoei and Gavin James; as well as those who knew her, loved her dearly and will miss her.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted Thursday, 10:00 AM, Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Blount officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
