Born in Cape Giradeau, Mo. to Thomas Melton and Bertha Melton-A farmer, he lived most of his life in Forrest City. A veteran of World War II-Survived by wife, Cora B. Melton of the home; two sons, Raymond C. of Marion and Donald R. of W.Helena; two brothers, Johnny of Widener, and Louis of Forrest City; and five grandchildren.
