Wife of Hilton Chastain
Mrs. Virginia "Johnny" Chastain, age 77, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis. Mrs. Chastain was born Nov. 27, 1929, in Glenwood, the daughter of Harvey C. Lawless and Dora Shields Lawless. She lived in Forrest City for most of her life, was retired from Sanyo Manufacturing and was a member of the Lindauer Road Church of Christ. She is survived by a sister, Opal Dye of White Hall; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Thigpen in 1992. Visitation for Mrs. Chastain will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindauer Road Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
