Wife of Lee E Hastings
Mrs. Nellie Jackie Hastings, age 76, of Forrest City, died Wednesday at her home in Forrest City. She had been in poor health for the past two years.
Mrs. Hastings was born March 15, 1936, in Blytheville, and was the daughter of Jack Coats and Nellie Tomlinson Coats. She lived in St. Francis County most of her life, was owner of Flower Boutique, co-owner of Lee's Auto Service, and was a Protestant.
Mrs. Hastings married Lee Hastings and he preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by three sisters; Juanita Wilson of Forrest City, Katherine Dunivant of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Eva J. Benton of Fresno, California, three nieces, Nellie Ashburn, Linda Wilson, and Jeanette Johnson, one nephew, Russell Poindexter, and several other nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Hastings will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M. Saturday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
