Jerry Wayman Archer, age 59, died July 20, 2009 in Batesville. Jerry was born April 14, 1950 to the late James Manual and Christine Smith Archer in Leachville. He was a member of the West Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army as a Military Police and was in the National Guard for many years. Jerry is survived by two sons, Jeremie Archer of Conway and Robbie Isom of Walker, Louisiana; one daughter, Tracie Dowmey of Bentonville; four brothers, Bob Archer of Wynne, Bill Archer of Hot Springs, Kenneth Archer of Clinton and Eugene Archer of Paragould; three sisters, Nancy Hornbeck Scott of Nauvoo, Alabama, Lillie Colvin Byars of Winfield, Alabama and Cindy Gillmore of Charlotte; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by one niece, Vickie Hornbeck. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday July 22, 2009 at the Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday July 21, 2009 at Willis Funeral Service in State Room A. Honorary Pallbearers are Josh Gillmore, Jason Walker, Chris Archer, Billy Colvin, Jake Archer, Aaron Archer, Edward Smith and David Andrews.
