Mr. William B. Pippin, age 84, of Southaven, Mississippi, formerly of St. Francis County, died Tuesday at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis. He had been in the hospital for the past four months.
Mr. Pippin was born July 31, 1925, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, and was the son of William Howard Pippin Sr. and Flavors O. Rhea Pippin. He was a past employee of the Pepsi Company, Ray's Egg Company, and had been a local Cab Driver. He was a Veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Pippin married Mary Catherine Sexton in 1949, and she survives him along with two sons; Vincent L. Pippin of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and Jerry Lynn Pippin of Southaven, one daughter, Catherine Dianne Litch of California, one brother, William Howard Pippin Jr. of Forrest City, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He had two sons; James Bryant Pippin and Stanley Pippin, who both preceded him in death.
Services for Mr. Pippin will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Friday with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
