Mr. Lee D. Herbert, age 77, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at his home. Mr. Herbert was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Earle, the son of Harry Edward Herbert and Mary Lace Herbert. He lived in Forrest City most of his life, was the owner and operator of L.D. Herbert Garage and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Forrest City. Mr. Herbert married Verma Jean Lincoln in 1948 and she survives him along with a son, Danny Herbert of Forrest City; a daughter, Diane Mallett of Forrest City; four brothers, Eugene Herbert and Aaron Herbert both of Morrilton, Lloyd Herbert and Kenneth Herbert both of Little Rock; four sisters, Helen Pitts and Linda Jones both of Morrilton, Glenda Jones of Jacksonville and Sarah Mitchell of Malvern; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation for Mr. Herbert will be held Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at Stevens Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at the Assembly of God Church at 11 a.m. with Bro. Gary Chapman and Bro. Tom Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Mrs. Verma Jean Herbert age 81, former longtime resident of Forrest City died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville.
Mrs. Herbert was born December 22, 1931 in Mars Hill, Missouri. She was the daughter of Tivis Lincoln and Mae Shrock Lincoln. Mrs. Herbert was a housewife and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Herbert married L.D. Herbert in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2002. A daughter Diane Mallet of Springdale and a son Danny Herbert of Forrest City survive her. Two grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive her.
Services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Wednesday at the funeral home. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net. Under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
