Mrs. Annette Jones, age 88, of Forrest City, died Sunday at the Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis. She had been in poor health for the past several months.
Mrs. Jones was born July 13, 1924, in Lonoke, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Eddie Dean Parker and Mary Anna Hill Parker. She lived in St. Francis County most of her life, was a retired cafeteria worker for the Forrest City Public Schools and was a housewife, and was a member of the Haynes Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jones married John Cecil Jones in 1948, and he preceded her in death in 1989. She is survived by one son, Anthony Jones of Forrest City, one daughter, Kathy Clark of Forrest City, two sisters; Gladys Trail and Christine Waters, both of Forrest City, and three grandchildren; Eric, Ashley, and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mattie McGee, and two brothers; Harold Parker and Bennie Parker.
Services for Mrs. Jones will be held Graveside, 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
