David L. Johnston, born October 15, 1950 of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and Fannie, Arkansas, lost his battle with cancer and took his place in heaven on November 30, 2012. He joins his wife Teri, who preceded him in death on July 8, 2011. He leaves behind his Mom and Dad, Ruby Joy and Bert Johnston of Fannie, Arkansas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernie and Lisa Johnston and Tommy and Susan Johnston of Fannie; his nieces, Sarah & Taylor Johnston and his nephew, Stephen Johnston.

David was blessed to have found a loving fiancé, Lynn Ugartechea. David was also blessed with three daughters, Stacee Johnston, Jaime Johnston and Jessica Johnston and three step-children, Jill Hannah, Christine Thompson and Glenn Dlugach, Jr. A loving host of friends, cousins, aunts and uncles will also deeply cherish their memories of David's laughter, candor and wit.

David lived his life with honor, he always told you exactly what he meant and did all he promised. He enjoyed building homes and cherished the relationships he made along the way.

Most importantly he loved our Lord Jesus Christ and accepted him as his Savior. David will have everlasting life in heaven while his loved ones keep his memory alive on earth until they are blessed to join him one day.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital Foundation and Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation. A memorial luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Prairie Grove Community Church in Fannie and graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Reed Cemetery in Story, Arkansas.
