Husband of Jeanne Bannon Sossaman
Mr. John Burton Sossaman, age 83, of Spring, Texas, died Monday, July, 18, 2005.Mr. Sossaman was born April 8, 1922, in Jena, La., the son of A.L. Sossaman and Mary Greene Sossaman. Mr. Sossaman served as a pa pilot in World War II with the 442nd Troop Carrier Group of the United States Air Force. He moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1953 where he worked for Reynolds Aluminum Company for 39 years before retiring in 1991. He was a past Master of the Sunset Masonic Lodge, a member of the Al Amin Shrine Temple and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Sossaman is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanne Sossaman; a son, Mark Sossaman; one granddaughter and many friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, M.W. Sossaman. Visitation for Mr. Sossaman will be held on Friday, July 22, 2005, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery.
