Wife of Homer Prince Ellis
Mrs. Amy Duvall Ellis, age 104, of Baton Rouge, La., died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at the Care Center in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Ellis was born Feb. 7, 1904, in Palestine the daughter of Walter H. Duvall and Mary Elizabeth Halbert Duvall. She lived in Forrest City until moving to Louisiana and was retired from Stevens Funeral Home and was a Baptist. Mrs. Ellis married Homer P. Ellis in 1920 and he preceded her in death in 1968. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth E. Fancher of Denham Springs, La.; one sister, Margery Johnson of Pearland, Texas; one granddaughter; five great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Ellis will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008, at Stevens Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
