William Edward "Bud" Thweatt, 69, of Forrest City died Sunday at the Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

Thweatt was born Nov. 19, 1937, in Brinkley and was the son of Ernest Weeks Thweatt and Evie Flake Thweatt.

He lived in St. Francis county most of his life, was a ceramic tile setter and was a veteran of the Army.

Thweatt is survived by brothers, Jimmy D. Thweatt of Kansas and Tony Thweatt of Jonesboro; sisters, Laverne Autry of Germantown, Tenn., Earnestine Rhama of Salem, Phillis Rothammer of Collierville, Tenn., and Debra Fowler of Blytheville; and several other close friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial is in Forrest Park Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
