Husband of Ursula Ostrander Davis
Mr. D. D Davis, aged 83, a resident of Crestpark Retirement Inn, died Wednesday at Forrest Memorial Hospita. He had been in poor health for the last year, and in critial condition for the past three weeks.
Mr. Davis was born May 31, 1893, in Tula, Miss., and was the son of Etta Whitehead Davis and Will Davis. He moved to Arkansas in 1933. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Davis' wife, Mrs. Ursula Ostrander Davis, died in 1976, He is survived by two sons, W. F. Davis of Forrest City, and James Davis of Benton. He leaves a brother, Jessie D. Davis of Memphis, Tenn.
He also leaves seven sisters: Mrs. Alma Hutchinson, Mrs. Hnna Tatum and Mrs. Rebecca Pascall, all of Oxford, Miss.; Mrs. Lula Fisher of Louisville, Ky.; and Mrs. Nona Houston, Miss Lona Davis, and Mrs. Luna Lusk, all of Memphis, Tenn.
He had ten grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, conducted by Rev. J. E. Hughes. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
