Age 80 of Canton, Ohio, and previously Searcy, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. Son of Noah and Leslie (Kilman) Blount now deceased. He was born in Canton, Ohio. Don is retired from NIBCO Corp. He was a member of the West Race Baptist Church for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David and Golden; and a sister, Barbara. Don is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Ellen (Mason) Blount; son, Leslie A. Blount and his wife, Lucinda Kim of Mosinee, Wis.; daughter, Linda L. (Blount) Brown and her husband, David of Oak Creek, Wis.; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, William (Bonnie) of Detroit, Mich., and Ernest (Martha) of Searcy, Ark.; two sisters, Edie (Chuck) Hein and Carol (Dick) Dye both of Canton; and many, cousins, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 at 3 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW, with Dr. David Brown officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Sunday from 1p.m. until time of service. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 10th. in Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob, Ark.
