Clarence W. Malone, 79, Rt. 2, Springdale, died March 17 in a Tulsa, Okla., hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1898, in Indian Territory (Oklahoma), he was the son of John and Alfreta Sweeney Malone, an Army veteran of World War I and a heavy equipment master mechanic. He moved to Springdale from Borger, Tex., in 1966.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gussie Johnson Malone of the home; two sons, Richard Malone, Springdale, and John D. Malone, Reno, Nev.; three daughters, Mrs. H.G. (Wanda) Nobles, Amarillo, Tex., Mrs. G.D. (Inez) Paschall, Fayetteville, and Mrs. R.L. (Carol) Henry, Channing, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Maude B. Stevens, Arlington, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Sonora Cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Sisco Chapel.
