Springdale - William C. Matheny, 63, died yesterday afternoon in a Fayetteville hospital. He was born July 5, 1898 in Rossville, Ga., was a veteran of World War I and moved to Springdale from Cole Camp, Mo. Survivors are his widow, Josie, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Poole of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. Sarah Winters and Mrs. Mildred Winters, both of Springdale and Mrs. Nell Acuff of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one step-son Wayman Smith of Genoa, Tex.; one brother, Grant Matheny, of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Huff and Mrs. Grace Harris, both of Atlanta, Ga.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Callison-Sisco Funeral Chapel. Burial will he in Sonora Cemetery.

Springdale - Mrs. Josie C. Matheny, 76, of Route 2 Springdale, died Monday in Memorial Hospital. Born July 22, 1894 in Rockmart, Ga., was a Baptist.

Survivors are a son, Waymon Smith of Houston, Tex.; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Poole, Mrs. Sarah Winters and Mrs. Marinell Acuff, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Mrs. Mildred Winters of Springdale; two sisters. Mrs. S. A. Smith Sr. of Orange City, Fla. and Mrs. Mollie Wilson of Fitzgerald, Ga.; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel with burial in Sonora Cemetery.
